The politics around the murder that took place at Singhu Border is increasing day by day. Rakesh Tikait, spokesperson of Samyukt Kisan Morcha, has condemned the incident and said that the truth will be revealed through police investigation. But at the same time he refrained from linking the murder to farmers protest and said that the murder which took place isn’t related to farmers protest at all.

He also said that the whole matter will be investigated by the police department and they will take action accordingly. He criticised the incident and showed faith in the state police to bring out the truth. The umbrella organisation of farmer unions, Samyukt Kisan Morcha, also released a statement denying taking the responsibility of the murder.

Samyukt Kisan Morcha told that the responsibility of the murder has been taken by a Nihang group, Nirvair Khalsa-Udna Dal, who said that the victim, Lakhvir Singh, came to them few days ago but later got embroiled in sacrilege of their holy scripture. SKM completely distanced itself from the incident and demanded for the investigation.
