Land for job scam: Lalu Prasad reached the court on a wheelchair, Lalu's family was also present

The hardships for Lalu and his family are getting worse as a result of the land for employment fraud. The Delhi court is hearing this petition today. Lalu Yadav, the leader of the RJD, arrived to the court in a wheelchair. Misa Bharti, the eldest daughter, and wife Rabdi Devi were also present. On February 27, the Delhi court issued summonses to all 16 defendants, including Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, and Misa Bharti, requesting that they appear in court on March 15.

What is the case?

Lalu was accused of distorting recruitment processes in The Indian Railways in this scandal and of offering jobs in exchange for land. Also, this hearing is occurring at a time when Lalu Yadav has just returned from Singapore after receiving kidney replacement surgery.

Recently, the CBI had submitted a charge sheet in this matter. According to the CBI's charge sheet, the Indian Railways' established rules and processes for Group-D recruitment were broken when irregular appointments were made in the railways.
