The Enforcement Directorate, also known as ED, has stepped up its inquiry into the Land for Employment fraud. Several locations in Delhi, Mumbai, and Patna were the target of raids. The homes of Lalu Yadav's daughters were among the 15 locations in Delhi where the ED team is reported to have conducted raids.

What is the land for employment scam?

Lalu Prasad Yadav held the position of Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009. Lalu Yadav is accused of taking land during this time instead of offering a position in the railways, according to the allegations. The chargesheet alleges that Lalu hired numerous individuals on a temporary basis while serving as the minister of railways, then regularised their employment status after the land was transferred into the family's ownership.

Hajipur, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, and Jabalpur were all handed this assignment. On October 10, 2022, the CBI submitted the charge sheet in this case. In which Lalu was among the 15 individuals charged.
