Lata Mangeshkar tests positive: Admitted in ICU

As the covid third wave levels up, many bollywood celebrities are also being tested positive for COVID-19. Among those celebrities, Swar Kokila Lata Mangeshkar is also one. She has been caught by this deadly virus and has been admitted to the ICU. Symptoms of covid has been detected in her and because of her age she has been kept under constant observation.

The news was given by her niece Rachana Shah. She has been admitted in the Breach Candy hospital and according to the report because of COVID she has been diagnosed with pneumonia. While giving her health update Rachana Shah also told us that Lata Ji is now fine and she is kept in ICU only as precaution because of her age. She also asked people to respect their privacy and pray for her.

Wishes and prayers she received

She also has other health issues and because of that the doctors have kept her under observation. Many officials such as former CM Devendra Fadnavis has wished for her welfare. He tweeted “Wishing speedy recovery to the legendary @mangeshkarlata didi !” . She was previously admitted in the hospital because she had breathing problems.

Lata Mangeshkar's Work and Achievements 

Lata Mangeshkar is a 92 years old veteran singer who has worked in more than 100 hindi films and has sung more than 1000 songs in her career of 70 years. Her last album was from Yash Chopra's film "Veer Zara" (2004) and her last song was "Saugandh mujhe is mitti ki" which was released in 2021 in respect to the Indian Army. She has also been awarder with Bharat Ratna in 2001. Along with this She has also been rewarded with Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Dada Saheb Phalke Award.

Celebrities who have tested positive

After the news of being positive, the social media and her fans have been actively vocal in expressing their prayers and blessing for the legend. But along with her many Bollywood celebrities such as Khushi Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Sussane Khan, Comedian Vir Das, Prem Chopra and his wife Uma Chopra have also been tested positive for COVID-19.
