List of Vande Bharat in India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the 16th Vande Bharat Express train to the nation on Thursday. He practically launched Odisha's first semi-high speed train, which connects the holy city of Puri with West Bengal's Howrah. 

With the inauguration of the new route, India will operationalise Vande Bharat Express trains on 15 routes across the country.

What is Vande Bharat Train?

Commuters have flocked to the Vande Bharat trains. It is India's first semi-highspeed train with first-rate passenger amenities. It has a top speed of 180 kmph, however its operational speed is limited to 130 kmph due to safety concerns. It cuts travel time by 25% to 45%.

New Delhi - Varanasi Vande Bharat Express

On February 15, 2019, the first Vande Bharat train departed from New Delhi for Kanpur, Allahabad, and Varanasi. Except for Monday and Thursday, the train runs five days a week. The train leaves New Delhi Railway Station at 6:00 a.m. and arrives in Varanasi at 2:00 p.m., covering a distance of 759 kilometres. 

New Delhi - Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (J&K) Vande Bharat Express 

his Vande Bharat train travels from New Delhi to Mata Vaishno Devi's base camp Katra in eight hours. Except for Tuesday, the train runs six days a week. The train leaves New Delhi at 6:00 a.m. and arrives to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra around 2:00 p.m.

Gandhinagar- Mumbai Vande Bharat Express 

PM Modi recently announced the inauguration of the Vande Bharat Express on September 30, 2022. Except for Sunday, the train runs six days a week. The train leaves Mumbai Central at 6:00 a.m. and arrives at Gandhinagar Capital station at 12:25 p.m., covering a distance of 522 km.

New Delhi - Amb Andaura in Himachal Pradesh Vande Bharat Express

Except for Friday, the train runs six days a week. The train leaves the New Delhi train station at 05:50 in the morning and arrives in Amb Anadaura at 11:05 in the morning.

Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express

Nagpur in Maharashtra and Bilaspur in Chattisgarh. Except for Saturday, the train runs six days a week. The train leaves the Nagpur train station at 2:05 and arrives in Bilaspur at 7:35. 

Howrah - New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express 

On December 30, 2022, Prime Minister Modi essentially hoisted the first Vande Bharat Express train out of West Bengal. Except for Wednesday, the train runs six days a week. The train travels 454 kilometres in seven and a half hours from Howrah Junction to New Jalpaiguri, departing at 5:55 in the morning.

Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express

Between the port cities of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Secunderabad in Telangana, this train travels. Except for Sunday, the train runs six days a week. At 3:00 p.m., the train leaves Secunderabad Junction, and at 11:30 p.m., it arrives at Visakhapatnam Railway Station. 

Mumbai- Solapur Vande Bharat Express 

Except for Wednesday, this train travels six days a week between Mumbai and Solapur. The train travels for 6 hours and 35 minutes, leaving Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal (CST) at 4:05 p.m. and arriving in Solapur at 10:40 p.m. 

Mumbai- Shirdi Vande Bharat Express

Between Mumbai CST station and Sainagar Shirdi, this Vande Bharat train travels the required distance in five hours and twenty minutes. The train leaves Mumbai at 6:20 in the morning and arrives in Shirdi at 11:40. Except for Tuesday, the train runs six days a week.  

 Delhi's Hazrat Nizamuddin- Bhopal's Rani Kamlapati station Vande Bharat Express

On April 1, Prime Minister Modi waved the 11th Vande Bharat Express train off from the Rani Kamalapati station in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In order to save a half-hour, the train runs from Bhopal to Hazrat Nizamuddin station instead of New Delhi railway station. In seven hours and 45 minutes, this train travels 700 kilometres. Except for Saturday, it is open six days a week. It leaves Bhopal at 05:55 and arrives in Delhi at 01:45.

Secunderabad- Tirupati Vande Bharat Express

The Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express is the second Vande Bharat train to depart from Telangana in as little as three months. It runs between IT City, Hyderabad, and the Abode of Lord Venkateswara, Tirupati. In particular, pilgrimage travellers will benefit from the train's nearly three-and-a-half-hour time reduction between the two cities. Between the two cities, the train will travel 660 kilometres in eight hours and thirty minutes. The train will depart from Secunderabad at 6:00 am and arrive in Tirupati at 2:30 pm. Except for Tuesday, it will be open six days a week. 

Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express 

This Vande Bharat train travels the 495 kilometres between Chennai and Coimbatore in six hours and ten minutes. Except for Wednesday, it is open six days a week. The train leaves Coimbatore at six in the morning and arrives at Chennai Central around twelve ten. 

Ajmer-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express 

On April 25, PM Modi essentially raised the flag for Rajasthan's first Vande Bharat train. On all days but Wednesday, the train runs. The train travels 454 km in five hours and fifteen minutes from Delhi Cantt to Ajmer, departing at 6:40 p.m. In areas with high-rise overhead electric (OHE) lines, it is also the first semi-high-speed passenger train in the world. 

Thiruvananthapuram-Kasargod Vande Bharat Express 

Last month, the state of Kerala received its first Vande Bharat Express train, which ran between Kasargod and the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram. With the exception of Thursday, the train will run on six days. It leaves Thiruvananthapuram at 05:20 in the morning and arrives in Kasaragod at 1:25. The train departs Kasaragod at 2:00 pm and arrives in Thiruvananthapuram at 10:35 night during this time. The 8-hour, 5-minute Thiruvananthapuram-Kasargod Vande Bharat Express stops at 14 railway stations over its 586 km route.

Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express

On May 19, PM Modi essentially signalled the start of the first Vande Bharat train in Odisha. The train runs between Howrah in West Bengal and Puri, the hometown of Lord Jagannath. Except for Thursday, it is open every day but that day. It leaves Puri at 1:50 p.m. and arrives in Howrah at 8:30 p.m., travelling 502 kilometres in six hours and forty minutes.
