LPG Cylinder Price Hike, increase of about Rs 103 for 19 kg cylinder- Watch Video

People already struggling with inflation will now have to pay the increased prices of LPG cylinders as well. The prices of domestic gas cylinders increased on the very first day of May. The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) cylinder has been increased from Rs 2,253 to Rs 2,355.50 while the price of the 5 kg LPG cylinder is currently Rs 655. Earlier, from the first of April, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were increased by Rs 250. On March 1, LPG prices were increased by Rs 105. Let us tell you that from now on May 1 will be celebrated as Ujjwala Diwas.

Kolkata - Rs 2455, Mumbai - Rs 2307, Chennai - Rs 2508

On March 1, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder was increased by Rs 105, which was reduced by Rs 9 on March 22. Let us inform you that between October of last year and February 1, 2022, the prices of commercial cylinders increased by Rs 170.

'Ujjwala Diwas'-Scheme Launched by the Prime Minister in 2016  

 

On May 1, 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. Under this, a campaign was started for the distribution of free LPG cylinders among families falling below the poverty line. In view of the achievements of this scheme, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has started celebrating May 1, 2022 as Ujjwala Diwas.

Organizing LPG Panchayats

On this occasion, 5000 LPG Panchayats are being organized by Oil Marketing Companies. In this, information will be given among the people about the scheme and new connections will also be distributed. On March 1, LPG prices were increased by Rs 105. In these panchayats, people will give their feedback and efforts will be made to enroll maximum customers for the purpose of continuing the use of LPG.
