Mahant Narendra Giri death case: CBI gets 7 day custody of the three suspects.

CBI has accelerated the investigation of Mahant Narendra Giri, leader of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, death case. The Prayagraj court has granted 7 days custodial remand of the three charged- Anand Giri, Sandeep Tiwari and Aadhya Prasad, to Central Bureau of Investigation. The three suspects will be in CBI’s custody from September 28 to October 4. CBI had earlier demanded for 10 days custody, but the court allowed only 5 days custody, which was then increased by 2 more days, on request from CBI.

Three Suspects 

The three suspects were arrested by CBI after their names appeared in the suicide note, gathered from the death site of Mahant Narendra Giri. They appeared before Chief Judicial Magistrate court, which sent them to 14 day judicial custody. The three suspects are currently imprisoned in Prayagraj’s Naini Central Jail.

Investigation by CBI

A team of CBI went to death site and recreated the scene as they don’t want to leave a single stone unturned in finding the real culprit. The room,in which Narendra Giri’s death body was found, was inspected for around 6 hours by the CBI team.

Death Of Mahant Narendra Giri

Mahant Narendra Giri died a mysterious death on September 20,2021 in the Baghambari Math of Prayagraj. His dead body was found hanging to the fan. A suicide note was also found in which he alleged Anand Giri, Sandeep Tiwari and Aadhya Prasad of disturbing him mentally. Anand Giri was arrested on the same day from Haridwar whereas Aadhya Prasad and Sandeep Tiwari were arrested on the next day.
