Mahant Narendra Giri Last Rites: PM Modi, CM Yogi Adityanath, and others express grief on Mahant Narendra Giri's death

Mahant Narendra Giri Last Rites:

Mahant Narendra Giri, the Mahant of the Baghambri Gaddi and the President of the Akhara Parishad, located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, died under suspicious circumstances on 20th September 2021. His body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his bedroom on Monday. For the last darshan of Mahant Narendra Giri, UP CM Yogi Adityanath also reached Baghambari Math in Prayagraj. 

After paying tribute to Mahant Narendra Giri, he also interacted with the monks of the monastery regarding the incident. After this, CM Yogi said that every incident will be exposed, whoever is guilty will not survive. At the same time, Anand Giri, a disciple of Mahant Narendra Giri, has been arrested by the police in Haridwar and is now being brought to Prayagraj. Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav will also reach Prayagraj for the last darshan of Mahant Narendra Giri.

At the same time, various political parties and saints including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya, BJP State President Swatantra Dev Singh have expressed their condolences on this tragic incident.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said- "I cannot believe that Pujya Mahant Narendra Giri Ji Maharaj must have committed suicide. I am shocked, I am shocked. I knew him since childhood, he was the epitome of courage. I had received the blessings only yesterday morning on 19th September. He was very normal at that time very sad unbearable news!"
