Maharashtra Politics: Eknath Shinde claims on Shiv Sena, says - we are real Shiv Sainiks

Publish Date: 23 Jun, 2022 |

There are indications from the latest political developments in Maharashtra that CM Uddhav Thackeray is surrounded from all sides. Shiv Sena's rebel leader Eknath Shinde is constantly tightening his grip on the party. He has claimed that 42 MLAs of Shiv Sena are with him. Apart from this, many independent MLAs are also in his camp.

Therefore, now there are possibilities of two splits in Shiv Sena. In such a situation, it is now being said that there may be a ruckus in the party regarding the symbol and flag. It is being said that the Eknath Shinde camp is now preparing to claim the 'bow and arrow' symbol of Shiv Sena.

Shinde shows no sign of backing down

The statements of Shinde have made it clear that he is not going to back down. Shivsena is with him and Shiv Sainik is with him. It is being felt from them that in the coming days, there will be a dispute on whose Shiv Sena will be. The Shinde and Thackeray families will be face-to-face over the party and the party's symbol. The matter cannot be ruled out going from the Election Commission to the court.

When Eknath Shinde on Tuesday ignored Uddhav Thackeray's decision, calling himself the real Shiv Sena, he has his own math behind it. Shiv Sena has 55 MLAs in the house. In such a situation, if 37 or more MLAs come in his favor, then he can claim his right on Shiv Sena. However, according to the rules, the recognition of the faction will be given by the Speaker of the Assembly. But while claiming his party, he can also go to the Election Commission.

Raut might consider the demands of MLAs

Sanjay Raut told the MLAs that you say that you are a real Shiv Sainik and will not leave the party. We are ready to consider your demand, provided you come back to Mumbai in 24 hours and discuss this issue with CM Uddhav Thackeray. Your request will be considered positively. Do not write letters on Twitter and WhatsApp.

He said the rebels, who are based out of Mumbai, have raised the issue of Hindutva. If all these MLAs feel that Shiv Sena should get out of MVA, then show courage to come back to Mumbai. You say that you have trouble only with the government and also say that you are a true Shiv Sainik, your demand will be considered, but come and talk to Uddhav Thackeray.
