Maharashtra Floods: The heavy rainfall in Maharashtra has caused the death toll to reach 149, 64 reportedly missing

Maharashtra Rains Death Toll:

The heavy monsoon rainfall in Maharashtra has been another havoc for the state, as the Maharashtra rains have created a flood-like situation in the state and have already claimed the lives of many. 

As per the recent reports, the regions of Raigarh and Satara have witnessed major landslides and waterlogging thereby causing floods. While the death toll due to floods and landslides in Maharashtra has now reached 149, more than 50 people are injured, while 64 people are reportedly missing. 

While the heavy rainfall in northern Karnataka from the past 2 weeks has forced the people to relocate to a safer place. The heavy rains in Karnataka have claimed the lives of 9 people while 3 have been missing yet. 

More than 2 lakh people have been relocated to Maharashtra’s Konkan coast and Western Maharashtra. The heavy rainfall in other regions of the country including Kerala, Himachal Pradesh has also been the reason for the great difficulty of the local denizens.
