The XUV700 flaunts its shapely black grille that’s tastefully flanked by large headlamps and canine-shaped LED DRLs. Even the rear profile is adorned with arrow-like LED tail lamps. Base variants, such as the MX Series, are offered with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and a seven-inch instrument cluster. Alternatively, the AX Series gets a dual HD 10.25-inch infotainment system alongside a 10.25-inch digital cluster.

Mahindra has provided the XUV700 with two powertrain options: 200PS/380Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel developing up to 185PS and 450Nm. Both engines get 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. As standard, the SUV comes with a front-wheel drivetrain, and there’s an optional all-wheel drivetrain (for the diesel unit). The diesel engine gets four drive modes: Zip, Zap, Zoom, and Custom
The Mahindra XUV700 is offered in two variant options; MX and AX Series. While both series’ get petrol and diesel powertrain options, the MX only gets a manual box. The AX Series, on the other hand, is available in three trims — AX3, AX, and AX7. Setting the AX apart though is its availability in both manual and automatic transmissions, along with an AWD option for the top-end automatic version.
