Mahua Moitra accuses Om Birla

Rahul Gandhi's remarks in London, the Adani issue, and agency abuse are still causing friction between the ruling party and the opposition. Mahua Moitra, a TMC member, accused Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla of a severe offense while all of this was going on. Mahua allegedly said that my willingness to go to jail for my comments and the danger to democracy are both true.

Mahua Moitra on Twitter said “Last 3 days saw speaker @ombirlakota allow ONLY BJP ministers to speak on mike & then adjourn parliament with not single opposition member being allowed to speak.Democracy IS under attack. And the speaker leads from the front. And I am willing to go to jail for this tweet.” Her remark came as the BJP escalated its heat on Rahul Gandhi in the Parliament, arguing that even though India's democracy is safe, the Congress party has been forced to "political death" by the general public.
