West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stopped her convoy at a roadside tea shop in Jhargram on Tuesday and started serving pakoras to the people. In fact, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had come to address a rally in the tribal-dominated Jhargram district, where she attacked the central government for non-payment of dues to the state.
While returning from the rally, she suddenly stopped her convoy at a roadside tea stall and went there and started distributing pakodas to the people. Everyone was surprised to see this, however, during this time a small crowd also gathered there. In the video, CM Mamta Banerjee can be seen giving pakoras to the people.
At the rally, he targeted the BJP-led central government and said that it (West Bengal) may have to stop payment of Goods and Services Tax (GST) if the Center does not clear the dues of the state. Addressing a rally in the tribal-dominated Jhargram district, Banerjee said the Center should either clear the dues of the states or relinquish power.
Accusing the Center of not releasing MNREGA funds, the Chief Minister called upon the tribals to take to the streets to protest against it. “Will we have to beg before the Center to clear our financial dues? They are not releasing MNREGA funds. If the BJP government does not clear our dues, it will have to relinquish power.
