Weather Update Today: People of Delhi-NCR are facing a lot of trouble due to heat and loo. On the other hand, the rainy season has started in many parts of the country. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) informed in a weather update on Saturday that the southwest monsoon has reached Mumbai and other adjoining areas in the capital of Maharashtra. Due to the monsoon, rain with gusty winds reaching 30 to 40 kmph occurred at isolated places in Thane, Raigad, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Mumbai in Maharashtra on Saturday. Along with this, the Meteorological Department said that the Southwest Monsoon has advanced further into the Central Arabian Sea, Konkan (including Mumbai), parts of Madhya Maharashtra and many places in Karnataka.

The minimum temperature in the national capital on Saturday was recorded at 29.7 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal. The Skymet Weather report said that heatwave conditions are likely to persist over isolated parts of Delhi, Haryana, North-West Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh.
The Meteorological Department said that other parts of the country will also see an improvement in monsoon conditions. Meanwhile, people living in Delhi are in the grip of scorching heat. The temperature in the national capital settled at 43 degrees Celsius on Friday, making it difficult for people to step out of their homes. According to the IMD's forecast, the temperature in Delhi will remain between 43 to 41 degree Celsius till June 16. With the possibility of rain after June 16, there is a possibility of some relief in Delhi.
