Mercedes-Benz India will launch the new GLB and EQB in India on December 2 and both the vehicles are CBU units. Mercedes GLB can be offered with three powertrains in the Indian market. And the Mercedes EQB will be the country's first 7 seater electric car. This electric SUV can cover a distance of 419 kilometers on full charge. Let’s take a look at their specifications.
The GLB gets 1.3-litre petrol and two-litre turbo-petrol engines along with a two-litre turbo-diesel engine. The smaller petrol engine is mated with a seven-speed DCT, while the turbo engines get an eight-speed DCT. While their powertrains vary depending on the variants, the SUV will be available in both front-wheel drive and 4Matic drivetrains. Its list of safety feature includes seven airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, rain-sensing wipers, and TPMS.
Mercedes EQB is India's first 7 seater electric car. At the same time, this is the third electric car of Mercedes, which will be launched in the Indian market. Earlier, EQC SUV and EQS sedan car have been launched. Its entry-level EQB 300 variant can knock in India. Mercedes has used a 66.5kWh battery in this car. This car runs 419 kilometers (WLTP) on a single charge.
The EQB can be expected to be priced at Rs. 80 lakh (ex-showroom) and the GLB could be priced between Rs. 60 lakh to Rs. 70 lakh (ex-showroom).
