With the beginning of one of the biggest fashion nights in the world, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City has marked the official beginning of the 2023 Met Gala red carpet. Penélope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa, and Anna Wintour of Vogue were all present as this year’s Met Gala co-hosts. The top musicians, athletes, supermodels ( Naomi Campbell), artists, and actors, like Alia Bhatt, attended the event.

Met Gala 2023 Theme

The annual event this year honors the exhibition “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” The evening will collect money for The Met’s Costume Institute while paying tribute to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, who oversaw brands including Chanel, Fendi, and his own namesake line.

The A-list guests were invited to dress “in honor of Karl” this year, with some unique outfits that pay homage to Lagerfeld’s design trademarks, like his own black-and-white uniform and his Chanel tweeds.
