A big change is going to happen in the Internet world, the 27-year-old Internet Explorer is going to be completely closed from today i.e. June 15. Internet Explorer was introduced in 1995 as Windows 95. Initially Internet Explorer had to be purchased but later it was made free.

Reason for shutting down internet explorer

Internet Explorer could not maintain its position and its user base began to decline drastically as other competitors released improved user interfaces, higher Internet speeds, and new browsers.Internet Explorer has, over time, evolved into a default browser that has been used to install other browsers.

Microsoft Edge Program Manager stated that Internet Explorer Mode is included in Microsoft Edge, allowing you to view older Internet Explorer-based websites and applications directly from Microsoft Edge. The company has recommended those who are still using Internet Explorer to use Microsoft Edge before June 15, 2022. The company said that you should now go to Microsoft Edge instead of Internet Explorer. It is a faster, more secure and more modern browser than Internet Explorer.

New updates and Edge browser

Microsoft has decided to give a new design update for some of its new products. After this announcement, products like Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Teams, Windows 11 are going to get new features. During its Build developer conference, Microsoft announced several updates. Through these updates, special features can be seen in Windows 11, Microsoft Edge and Teams.

The closure of Internet Explorer does not mean that there is no longer a Microsoft browser in the market. You can instead use the Chromium based Microsoft Edge browser which supports all Windows and macOS. You can replace the legacy version by downloading it. The company has made big claims about its speed and performance.
