Cyclone Mocha Effect: These states will get hit by the storm, Odisha on high alert

Cyclone Mocha: This week, Cyclone Mocha is predicted to hit West Bengal and Odisha, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). According to the Meteorological Department, cyclonic winds are forming over the southeast Bay of Bengal and the nearby South Andaman Sea. On Monday, May 8, a low-pressure area is forecast to develop over the area under its influence.

Several states in the nation are on high alert due to cyclone Mocha. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert in 18 districts of Odisha. Nine districts have received yellow alerts that warn of storms and lightning.

West Bengal Weather

In various West Bengal districts, there may be light to moderate rain on Monday. The city’s North and South 24 Parganas, Hooghly, Bankura, Birbhum, Purba Medinipur, Howrah, Purba, and Paschim Bardhaman are predicted to have mild to moderate rain with lightning.
