An accident happened during the Mohali Trade fair at Dussehra Ground in Mohali, Punjab. During this, about 50 people aboard were injured due to the collapse of the drop tower swing. There is a report of the swing breaking from a height of about 50 meters and falling on the ground. After breaking the swing, there was a stampede among the people. However, no one was injured in the stampede. The injured have been admitted to the hospital after the accident. The video of the accident is also becoming quite viral.

No senior official took responsibility

The injured included children and women, who were immediately taken to the hospital after the incident. According to an official, the organizers of the fair were allowed to hold the event till September 4, however, a board informing the extension of the fair deadline was put up on the spot which had given the deadline of September 11. 

The person present on the spot alleged, "His personal bouncer came almost 20 minutes late. There was a woman who had suffered a head injury. Who will take the responsibility of the incident? How is this business going on without any medical help?" The public is being stopped by the police. Around 50 people will be injured. No security measures were taken. No senior officer reached the spot.

FIR Registered

SHO Rajesh of Mohali's Phase-Eight police station said that the police have registered a case against the organizer and owner of the trade fair in this case. He told that this case has been registered under sections 323, 341 and 337 of IPC. The police officer said that police teams are conducting raids to arrest the accused. But they have been hiding somewhere since last night. He will be arrested soon.
