Money Laundering Case: ED team reaches Sanjay Raut's house, Shiv Sena MP can be taken into custody- Watch Video

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has reached the residence of Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut in Mumbai. The team of the investigating agency is investigating at the 'Maitri' residence of Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut in Bhandup, Mumbai. According to news agency ANI, the ED team reached Sanjay Raut's residence at around 7 am today. Sanjay Raut is also being questioned in the Chawl land scam case.

On the other hand, as soon as the information of the raid was received, a large number of Shiv Sainiks started gathering at Sanjay Raut's residence. On the other hand, Sanjay Raut tweeted and said that ... false action, false evidence ... I will not leave Shiv Sena. Even if I die, I will not surrender. I have nothing to do with any scam.

Earlier, Raut was summoned by the ED on July 20 and 27 after questioning on July 1, but sent information through his lawyers that he could appear only after August 7 due to the Parliament session. The ED has attached Raut's properties in Dadar and Alibaug in this case. Raut may be taken into custody for questioning.

What is the case against Sanjay Raut?

Investigation is going on against Sanjay Raut in a money laundering case related to the Rs 1034 crore Patra Chawl scam. The ED has issued summons to him several times. But for one reason or the other, Raut is not appearing before the ED. Earlier, he had sought more time from the ED to appear before it, citing the ongoing campaign for the Vice-President's election. Sanjay Raut is the main accused in this case.
