Monica Dogra Biography: Monica Dogra, a singer and actress, recently revealed that she discovered she is pansexual after hearing the term and immediately felt connected to it. Monica told a news website that when she was younger, she was a tomboy on some days and a hyper-feminine on others. The diva went on to say that, while she liked to express both sides of herself, she was mostly ashamed of her gender, and when she hit puberty, she 'wept, thinking life was now over.' Monica also revealed her secret marriage, saying she was married to a 'understanding and kind man.' They split up after she developed feelings for her co-star in a film.

She also worked on Gloria Steinem's Viceland Emmy-nominated series Woman.

Monica Dogra Family and Education

Monica Dogra is the daughter of Jammu-born Dogra immigrants. Prakash Sharma, a Dogri folk music singer, is her maternal uncle. She was raised in Baltimore, Maryland. [Citation required] She went to Oakleigh Elementary, Montessori, and Dulaney High Schools. [Citation required] She earned a bachelor's degree in musical theatre from New York University.

Monica Dogra Career

She co-founded the electronic rock band "Shaa'ir+Func" with guitarist Randolph Correia in 2005. Their first album, New Day: The Love Album, was released in 2007, followed by Light Tribe in 2008 and Mantis in 2010. She also sang "Dooriyan Bhi Hai Zaroori" with Vishal Dadlani in the film Break Ke Baad and the English theme song for the film Inkaar (with Shahid Mallya).

She made her acting debut in Rock On!! as a guest star. In 2008, she was approached by Kiran Rao for the lead role in Rao's directorial debut film Dhobi Ghat, which she initially declined but later accepted. She was a judge for Rolling Stone's Never Hide Sounds musical talent contest in December 2011. On STAR World India, she hosts The Dewarists, a musical collaboration show. In 2013, she collaborated with award-winning violinist Scott Tixier for a Dos Equis-sponsored tour of the United States.

She appeared on the cover of FHM Magazine in March 2014. Maxim India Magazine featured her on the cover and in a photo shoot in March 2013 and May 2015.

She is now a judge on the show The Stage, along with Vishal Dadlani.

Monica Dogra will next be seen in Sahir Raza's upcoming web series The Married Woman. The lead actress, Ridhi Dogra, is also among the cast members.
