Mumbai Police has formed a team to investigate the allegations of collection against NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and other officers. NCB’s team headed by Sameer Wankhede is probing the Mumbai Drug Bust Case, which led to the arrest of Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan. Mumbai Police has received four different complaints of extortion against these officers.
A senior official informed that the team of police will be investigating the complaints filed by Independent witness Prabhakar Sail, lawyer Sudha Dwivedi,Kanishka jain and Nitin Deshmukh. Mumbai Police has already recorded the statement of Prabhakar Sail and interrogated him on Tuesday and Wednesday. But to investigate the four complaints, a separate team has been formed by the Mumbai Police.
The team will include ACP Milind Khetle, Police Inspector Ajay Sawant, API Srikant Karkar and Sub-Inspector Prakash Gabli. The team will also receive assistance of Additional Commissioner of Police of South region Dilip Sawant in the investigation.
Meanwhile, NCB has informed that Sameer Wankhede will continue as the investigating officer of Mumbai cruise drug case until any important proof is found against him. A team of NCB will also investigate the allegations raised against Sameer Wankhede.
Sameer Wankhede headed the raid carried out in Mumbai Drug Bust Case and arrested Aryan Khan, but now seems like getting into trouble himself. Where on one hand, a team of NCB is investigating the allegations levelled up on him, on the other hand after an affidavit filed by Prabhakar Sail, Mumbai Police is also going to begin its probe.
