Murder committed in Australia, hiding in disguise in India, Rajwinder with Rs 5 crore prize arrested from Delhi

Police has arrested Rajwinder, accused of murder of a woman in Australia, from Delhi. The accused had fled to India in the year 2018 after killing a woman in Australia and was living in disguise in Delhi. Australia's police had placed a reward of 1 million Australian dollars on the head of the accused. 

Patiala House court sends the accused to judicial custody

Delhi's Patiala House Court has sent the accused to judicial custody till November 30. The Special Cell of Delhi Police said that the accused was arrested following intelligence inputs in a joint operation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Interpol and the Special Cell. The Queensland government had announced the highest ever reward of 1 million Australian dollars (about Rs 5.31 crore) for arresting the accused or giving information about him.

Girl’s body was found on the beach

Toyah went for a walk on the beach with her dog on 21 October 2018. It is alleged that during this he was attacked and murdered. When Toyah did not return home, her family started looking for her. Toyah's body was found on the beach the next day. The police had identified Rajwinder Singh as the accused. Rajwinder Singh used to work in a hospital. The accused was a resident of Butter Kala village in Amritsar. He left his wife, three children and job and came to India two days after the murder.
