India once again reprimanded the organization of Islamic countries - organization of islamic coperation (OIC) for interfering in the Kashmir issue. After continuous rhetoric about Kashmir, now the General Secretary of this organization has visited Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). Also made statements about PoK.
A statement issued by Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, "We strongly condemn the visit of the Secretary General of the OIC to PoK and the remarks on Jammu and Kashmir during the visit. We reiterate that the OIC has nothing to do with Jammu and Kashmir." It has nothing to do with the issues involved. It is an integral part of India. Any attempt to meddle and interfere in the internal affairs of India is totally unacceptable."
The Ministry of External Affairs said, "OIC has already lost all its credibility. It has been consistently taking sectarian, one-sided and factually false sides on many issues. Its Secretary General has unfortunately become Pakistan's spokesperson".
Significantly, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Countries, Hisen Brahim Taha, said after visiting PoK on Monday that the Kashmir dispute is on the top priority on the agenda of the OIC. Actually, Brahim Taha had reached PoK tour where he said that the organization of Islamic countries is looking for a way of dialogue between India and Pakistan so that the Kashmir dispute can be resolved.
