Nagaland Firing: Opposition attacks Central government over the firing at Nagaland, Amit Shah spoke in Lok Sabha

Death of 15 people along with a Jawan in firing, on Saturday is causing rumble in the whole country. Today, cremation of these deads was carried out, where Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland was also present.

CM Rio also said that he had a word with Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the incident and he is very tensed about the situation. At the same time, he also demanded the removal of Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act. He said that the act was imposed in the state to counter terrorism, then why isn’t it being removed now? 

Whole opposition has opened attack against the government on the incident. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “This is heart wrenching. GOI must give a real reply. What exactly is the home ministry doing when neither civilians nor security personnel are safe in our own land?”

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi also condemned the incident and asked the government to remove AFSPA from the state. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed his grief over the firing incident in Lok Sabha today.
