Navjot Singh Sidhu resigns:
A video message of Navjot Singh Sidhu, who created political upheaval in Punjab Congress by resigning from the post of state president, has surfaced over the internet. Amidst the uproar in Punjab Congress, Navjot Singh Sidhu has said in his video message that he will continue to fight for rights and truth till his last breath.
It must be noted that on Tuesday, Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned from the post of Punjab Congress State President, which led to the Punjab Congress crisis. The video released on Twitter by Navjot Singh Sidhu says that ‘this is not a personal fight but a fight of principles. I will not compromise on principles and will continue to fight the fight for right and truth till my last breath. He said that he would never accept bringing back the tainted ministers.’

In the video message, he further says that my father has taught only one thing that whenever there is a difficult time, fight for the truth. Nowadays I see that issues are being settled, those who gave a clean chit to Badal a few years back, are being given importance today. Seeing this, my heart trembles. Sidhu said that I see agreement with the issues and agenda in Punjab. I cannot mislead the high command nor allow it to be misguided. I can make any sacrifice for the people of Punjab, but I will not compromise on my principles. Sidhu said that he would not accept tainted leaders and officers at any cost.
Reportedly, Navjot Singh Sidhu is not happy over three appointments in Punjab, considering which, he gave a resignation.
It was Navjot Singh Sidhu who got Captain Amarinder Singh removed from the chief minister's chair and made Charanjit Singh Channi the chief minister. It was after Sidhu's initiative that Charanjit Singh Channi assumed office just four months before the state elections. It is believed that Sidhu is reportedly unhappy with Channi's selection for his cabinet.
It must be noted that Congress has not yet accepted the resignation of Navjot Singh Sidhu, although it is also being said that Sidhu is now on his final decision.
