The dispute between NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik and NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede over the Mumbai Drug Bust Case is increasing day by day. The minister has levelled series of serious allegations against Wankhede. He alleged him of using fraudulent ways to get caste certificate through which he managed to get government job under reserved category.
On Wednesday, Nawab Malik raised another allegation at the NCB officer and accused him of having a link with the international drug mafia. According to Malik, the Cordelia Cruise ship at the International Cruise Terminal, on which raid was conducted on October 2, also contained a “bearded man” who according to him, was the friend of Sameer Wankhede and is former jailbird with stints in Delhi’s Tihar Jail and a Rajasthan Prison. Malik demanded a probe into the matter and identification of the”bearded man”.
He also alleged that no raid was conducted on Cruise and all the pictures were of Sameer Wankhede’s office. He sid that if NCB wants to eradicate drugs from the country, the should arrest drug mafias and peddlers. Everyone in the country will support them.
Earlier, Nawab Malik tweeted and shared a picture of birth certificate, which he claimed was of Sameer Wankhede. The certificate showed officer’s father’s name written as Dawood K Wankhede, while it is Dnyandev Wankhede as per the NCB website. He claimed that Sameer Wankhede was Muslim when he applied for the government job and hence used fraudulent ways to get forged caste certificate which he used to get job in indian Revenue Services (IRS) under the Scheduled Caste Category.
Malik also shared a picture of Wankhede’s ‘Nikah’ ceremony to strengthen his claim.
Responding to these claims, wife of Sameer Wankhede said that they are Hindus and never changed their religion. She also shared the picture of their marriage. Wankhede’s father also responded to the allegations and said that the family doesn’t have any relation with Dawood.
