New Delhi: The Republic Day is approaching and the whole nation is excited to watch the grand spectacle of the Republic Day parade. This time India will celebrate 75th Republic Day. On this day, the constitution came into force in 1950. The parade will take place at Rajpath, New Delhi. The event begins at 10 am and will conclude at 11:30 am. As a part of security management DMRC has issued fresh guidelines for Republic Day Parade 2022 and Beating the Retreat Ceremony. See all guidelines here.

New DMRC and Covid-19 Guidelines for Republic Day Parade 2022

  • On Monday DMRC posted on Twirtter, that Yellow Line would partially run on Wednesday due to celebrations of Republic Day.

  • On Yellow Line- 2 which runs from HUDA City Centre to Samaypur Badli, entry and exit at Central Secretariat and Udyog will remain closed till 12:00 Noon on 26 January.

  • Only passengers interchanging between Line 2 and Line-6 on the Central Secretariat can use the metro services.

  • Entry and Exit gates at Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan metro will remain shut from 8:45 am to 12:00 Noon on republic day.

  • Parking lots at all metro stations will remain closed from 6:00am on January 25 to 2:00 pm on 26 January. 

  • On the day of Beating Retreat on JAnuary 29, metro services at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations will not be available from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Passengers can interchange from KAshmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh and vice versa will be allowed at Central Secretariat metro station.

  • Normal Services will restore from 6:30 pm. 

  • People who want to attend the event of Republic Day Parade 2022 must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

  • Children below the age of 15 will not be allowed to attend the Parade on 26 Janaury.

  • Delhi police have guided people to adhere to COVID-19 rules and protocols like wearing a mask, sanitizing themselves and maintaining social distance.

  • The police have urged people to travel in cabs or use carpools since there is limited space for parking this time in the parade.

  • UAVs, paragliders and hot air balloons over the national capital have been prohibited in view of the Republic Day celebrations.
