New York Flash Floods: Heavy rains along with Ida storm hits northeastern America, at least 48 dead

New York Flash Floods:

Very similar to the waterlogging situation in India’s national capital Delhi yesterday, New York has also been flooded due to heavy rains at the place, which has claimed the lives of at least 41 people yet. Along with this, many vehicles have also been submerged in the floodwater. 

It must be noted that an emergency has been declared in New York City as well as the rest of the province on late Wednesday evening. According to the New York Police, 9 people have died due to flooding and getting trapped in the basement. At the same time, 5 other people have died in New Jersey.

Due to Hurricane Aida and other storms, heavy rain is being experienced in the northeastern region of America which has caused flash floods and tornadoes in various parts of the region, thereby, life has been badly affected due to fatal rains. It must be noted that the subway service in New York City has been stopped due to heavy rain. At the same time, flights have been suspended at Newark Liberty International Airport.

As per the reports, the FDR Drive and Bronx River Parkway in New York have been submerged. At the same time, the tracks of the subway have been filled with water. Due to this, services related to the subway have been suspended for the time being. Ida has badly affected people in America and many planes had to be canceled due to the storm.
