NIRF Ranking 2021:
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today, i.e., on 9th September 2021 released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings of Higher Education Institutions of the country, 2021.
This year the Education Minister has released the list of top higher education institutions in the country in a total of 11 categories including a new category of research. Considering the overall category, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras has been ranked first in the country NIRF Ranking 2021. It must be noted that last year too, IIT Madras stood at the first position.
The NIRF Ranking 2021 for the overall category is given below:
IIT Madras is in the first position,
Indian Institute of Science (IISc, Bangalore) is in the second position,
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is at third place,
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi ranked fourth,
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur at fifth place,
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur ranked sixth,
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee at seventh,
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati at eighth,
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi at 9th position, and
Banaras Hindu University ( BHU), Varanasi is in the tenth position.
It must be noted that for the sixth time in a row, the research category has also been included in this year's NIRF ranking. At the same time, apart from the university, the other categories in which the ranking has been released include overall, management, college, pharmacy, medical, engineering, architecture, and law.
It must be noted that the NIRF ranking is prepared on the basis of data received from these institutions on the parameters of Teaching, Learning and Resources, Graduation Outcomes, Research and Professional Practices, Perception and Outreach, and Inclusivity.
