No Covid-19 third wave to hit India, precautions still needed, says AIIMS Director, Dr. Randeep Guleria

Coronavirus India Update:

The havoc of the Covid-19 pandemic in India seems to be a never-ending peril now, while the daily cases being reported across the country have dipped considerably for the second day in a row, especially in Kerala. 

The country reports 26,964 Covid-19 cases across the country in the last 24 hours, while 383 people succumbed to the deadly Coronavirus infection. While around 34,166 people have successfully recovered from the Covid-19 virus.

The current Covid-19 statistics in India as per the government are: 

Total Coronavirus cases: 3,35,31,498

Total Coronavirus recoveries: 3,27,83,741

Total Death due to Covid-19 pandemic: 4,45,768

Total Covid-19 active cases: 3,01,989

No Covid-19 third wave in India, says Dr. Gulleria from AIIMS: 

The second wave of corona in the country is continuously weakening. At the same time, the world's largest vaccination campaign is also going on in India. Meanwhile, Dr. Randeep Guleria, Director of Delhi-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), has given a big statement. Dr. Guleria says that there will be no third wave of Coronavirus pandemic in the country. Soon the Covid-19 infection will be like common cold, cold, and cough.

According to media reports, Dr. Guleria has said that Coronavirus infection is no longer a pandemic. However, this does not mean that people should stop taking precautions. Until every citizen of the country gets the vaccine, there is a need to remain vigilant. It is important to avoid overcrowding during festivals. It is necessary to wear a mask and use a sanitizer.
