Amidst violent protests after Friday prayers in many parts of the country, Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid in Old Delhi, Syed Ahmed Bukhari has appealed to the countrymen to keep a watch on such elements who riot the country.
Without naming leaders he said that there are few people who support the community. If you want to take you on the path of ruin, you have to be careful with such elements. For this, sensible and responsible people of the society, public representatives and elderly people will have to come forward.
Terming the violent demonstrations across the country so far wrong, he said that it was necessary that the consent of the administration was taken in advance for this. The people of the society would also have been taken along. It is true that the religious sentiments of the people have been hurt by the objectionable remarks on the Prophet Muhammad, but the way of opposing it would have been different. Demonstrations were held in a peaceful manner. Children and youth are not included in it, but it did not happen. Few people started throwing stones.
In an audio message, the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid on Friday blamed a few people for the protest outside Jama Masjid and said that they do not know who they were and from where they had come. It was an attempt to spoil the atmosphere but this situation was handled. Significantly, after the statement given by former BJP leader Nupur Sharma about Prophet Mohammad, there have been protests across the country.
People are continuously demanding the arrest of Nupur Sharma and former BJP leader Naveen Jindal. There has been a lot of uproar these days. In his audio message, the Imam of Shahi Masjid, Syed Ahmed Bukhari has appealed to the people to maintain peace.
