A 76-year-old man's mobile phone that was kept in his shirt pocket unexpectedly exploded and caught fire on Thursday morning in the Marotichal neighbourhood of Thrissur, Kerala. The assault happened while the elderly man was enjoying a cup of tea in a store, according to the police.

The elderly man saved his own life when he managed to fling the cell phone out of his shirt pocket. The elderly man also revealed to the police that he had purchased the feature phone a year earlier for Rs 1,000. However, he is unaware of how it burst.
