Coronavirus 4th Wave: The cases of coronavirus are increasing rapidly once again across the country. In different states including the national capital Delhi, new cases have increased at the rate of 100 percent in a week. At the same time, 3324 corona infections have been identified in the last 24 hours. According to the Union Health Ministry, with today's figure, the active cases of corona infection in India have increased to 19092. Meanwhile, deaths of 40 Covid patients have also been reported. Earlier on Saturday, 3688 new cases and 50 corona infected people died.

Omicron XE, BA.2, BA.12 Variant raises concerns

Among the new cases being found across the country, the number of people infected with the new variant of the coronavirus, Omicron BA.2 is the highest. This is the major variant, which is spreading rapidly since the third wave of Corona. Now the new study has confirmed one dangerous subvariant of Omicron BA.12, XE, BA.4, BA.5 etc. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has alerted all the states about the fourth wave. While warning about the new variants of Omicron, PM Modi said that solid preparations have to be done from now to prevent the spread of corona infection.

Beware of Omicron BA.2 Variants

  • Avoid cold food items

  • Keep AC, Fridge usage should be minimised

Corona vaccination is the Best Precaution

The scientist said that even though the immunity of the corona vaccine decreases with time. But this is the best defense against corona virus infection. If needed, a booster dose should be taken. According to new reports, Omicron has infected people who took both doses of the corona vaccine, despite taking booster doses, got infected with corona. In such a situation, precaution is most important to prevent infection.
