Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021:
Within just minutes of its introduction in the Parliament, the Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021 was passed without any discussion in the Lok Sabha amid protest by the opposition.
Since PM Modi has already made an announcement on 19th November on the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Birth Anniversary that the three contentious agricultural laws would be repealed in the upcoming Winter Session. While Farm leader Rakesh Tikait says that the farmers will continue the protest until other demands are fulfilled.
3 Anti-Agriculture Laws were passed in Parliament without discussion & have been repealed without discussion.— Randeep Singh Surjewala (@rssurjewala) November 29, 2021
A debate would make the PM & BJP answerable for…
• Conspiracy to sell the farming sector at the altar of Crony Friends;
• Sacrifice of 700 farmers;
• Not giving MSP.
The Parliament Winter Session began today i.e., on 29th November 2021 with the oppositions sloganeering for the discussion on farmers’ issues. Considering this, both the Houses were adjourned first till 12 noon and then till 2 PM.
While hours before the Winter Session, PM Modi said that his government was “ready to answer all the questions” while focussing on the importance of maintaining decorum in the session. Starting from today, the Parliament Winter Session will continue until 23rd December.
