People in West Bengal threw stones at the Vande Bharat Express for the second time | Stone Pelting

Stones were thrown against the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Vande Bharat Express for the second time in two days. The incident happened as the train approached NJP yard. The train's carriages C-3 and C-6 each had broken windows.

FIR registered against the pelting

An official reported that on Tuesday afternoon, one window glass from each of the Vande Bharat Express's two carriages was broken before the train arrived at New Jalpaiguri station. According to the official, a FIR has been filed in relation to these instances, and a campaign to raise awareness has also been launched to stop such incidents from happening again.

Stone were also thrown in Malda

On Monday, stones were thrown at the Vande Bharat train as it passed through Kumarganj in the Malda district on its way from New Jalpaiguri to Howrah. The train's C-13 coach's window was broken in this incident. Political discourse was also used in response to this occurrence. BJP had made accusations against TMC employees. The BJP leader had additionally urged that the NIA look into the situation.
