With the announcement of the reduction of excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 / litre and diesel by Rs 6 / litre, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said that with this move the price of petrol will be reduced by Rs 9.5 / litre and diesel by Rs 7 / litre.
Petrol has become cheaper by Rs 9.5 and diesel by Rs 7 in Delhi. From today, the price of petrol in Delhi is reduced to Rs 96.72 per litre as against Rs 105.41 per litre earlier. At the same time, the price of diesel has gone up to Rs 89.62 per liter as against Rs 96.67 earlier. After the reduction in excise duty in Mumbai, the price of one litre of petrol is Rs 111.35 and that of diesel is Rs 97.28. Petrol and diesel prices in Chennai are Rs 102.65 and Rs 94.24 per litre. At the same time, the price of petrol in Kolkata is Rs 106.03 and the price of diesel is Rs 92.76. In Bangalore, the price of one liter of petrol is Rs 101.94 and diesel is Rs 87.89.
