Petrol Diesel Price:
Taking a big decision, the Chhattisgarh government has recently reduced the rates of VAT on petrol and diesel on Monday.
The Chattisgarh government has decided to reduce VAT on diesel by 2% while on petrol by 1% as Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel shared the information through a tweet. However, the reports state that reducing VAT will increase the additional burden of one thousand crore rupees on the exchequer of the government. The new rates will be applicable from 12 o'clock on Monday night.
After the decision of the Chhattisgarh government on VAT, people can get some relief as the petrol will be 90 paise and diesel 1.45 paise cheaper. At present, the petrol price in Chattisgarh is getting Rs 101 per liter and the diesel price is Rs 93 per liter in Chhattisgarh as the VAT has gets reduced by 1% in petrol and 2% in diesel. Compared to Punjab and Rajasthan, there is less relief in petrol and diesel in the state of Chhattisgarh.
Giving information about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting, Minister Mohammad Akbar said that VAT has been reduced by one percent in petrol and two percent in diesel. Apart from this, the date of the Kanishka board has been extended for the scheduled area of the state. A new inquiry commission has been approved on Jhiram.
One crore five lakh metric tonnes of paddy has also been approved in the cabinet meeting. The penalty of rice millers has been waived. A big decision has been taken on the demand of the cooperative society. A provision of 250 crores has been made for the losses of the committees.
