Petrol Diesel Prices: Prices of fuels to decline after global crude oil gets cheaper, Check the fresh rates here

As a sigh of relief for people, Petrol and Diesel prices are under control now as for the 19th day regularly, prices of fuels weren’t changed by the government oil companies. The central government had reduced excise duty levied on petrol and diesel a day before Diwali after which petrol got cheaper by Rs. 5 while Diesel got cheaper by Rs. 10. Post this, around 22 states and union territories reduced VAT imposed on fuels.


Delhi

Petrol: Rs. 103.97/ litre

Diesel: Rs. 86.67/ litre


Mumbai

Petrol: Rs. 109.98/ litre

Diesel: Rs. 94.14/ litre


Kolkata

Petrol: Rs. 104.67/ litre

Diesel: Rs. 89.79/ litre


Chennai

Petrol: Rs. 104.40/ litre

Diesel: Rs. 91.43/ litre


On Monday, Chhattisgarh’s CM Bhupesh Baghel gave relief to people as he reduced the VAT which is imposed on petrol and diesel. The state government reduced VAT imposed on petrol by 1% and on Diesel by 2%. This will lead to loss of around 1000 crore to the state government of Chhattisgarh.

It is being believed that prices of petrol and diesel will reduce in future as the price of global crude oil is also declining significantly.
