During his visit to Papua New Guinea, Prime Minister Modi was honored with Fiji's highest recognition, the Companion of the Order of Fiji, by Fiji's Prime Minister Sitwani Rabuka. It is noteworthy that very few individuals who are not from Fiji have received this prestigious award in the past. Therefore, this recognition holds great significance for India. Additionally, the Republic of Palau also bestowed an honor upon PM Narendra Modi.
Both these accolades were presented to PM Modi during his stay in Papua New Guinea. The Prime Minister's Office of India shared a Twitter post regarding this achievement. PM Modi arrived in Papua New Guinea on Sunday to host a significant summit involving India and 14 Pacific Island nations, with the objective of strengthening bilateral relations.
