Amidst the rising prices of Oil and Gas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the Chief Executive Officers and Global Exerts of Oil and Gas Companies through Video Conferencing on Wednesday. He invited the companies to India and asked them to discover possibilities for investment and Growth in of Oil and Natural Gas sector in India.
He also provided information about the developments made by the government in the sector. Prime Minister also expressed his desire to make India 'Atma Nirbhar’, i.e. Self Reliant, in Oil and Gas Sector.
The Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani, the CEO of Rosneft Dr Igor Sechin, Saudi Aramco President and CEO Amin Nasser were present in the interaction among others.
Such annual interactions started in 2016 and this was the sixth interaction which marks the involvement of global leaders in Oil and Gas sector. This meeting was significant in context of the rising prices of Oil and Natural Gas and consequent inflation of other essential items.
Talk was conducted on setting a limit for prices of Oil and Gas and to buy them at other Price Index.
It is being said that the prices will achieve stability very soon. The prices of fuels have been increasing since the start of the month. After two days of relaxation this week, the prices faced a surge once again on Wednesday and consecutively on Thursday. All the three major Oil Companies of the Country HPCL, BPCL and IOC declared an increase in prices of fuels. The national capital faced a surge of 35 paise in the prices of Petrol and Diesel.
