PM Modi's visit to Maharashtra, will inaugurate Sant Tukaram Shila Temple in Pune, will also visit Mumbai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a one-day visit to Maharashtra on 14 June. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a temple dedicated to 17th century saint Tukaram Maharaj at Dehu near Pune city in Maharashtra today. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Jal Bhushan Bhawan and the Gallery of Revolutionaries at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai at around 4:15 pm. After this, at around 6 pm, the Prime Minister will participate in the Bicentenary Festival of Mumbai Samachar at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.

Who all will be present

The Prime Minister will share the stage with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis at the event. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari will not attend this program. The Prime Minister is expected to reach Dehu at around 1 pm today. He will also address a public meeting organized at some distance from the temple premises. After this, he will inaugurate Jal Bhushan Bhawan and Revolutionary Gallery at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai.

Security arrangements on the venue

The police have made elaborate security arrangements for the Prime Minister's visit to Dehu. As part of preparations, top officials of Maharashtra Police visited the temple on Monday. Officials said a multi-layered security system has been put in place in consultation with central security agencies.

At the same time, the traffic officer said that vehicular traffic will be diverted on some routes; the official said that the traffic rules will be applicable from 4 pm to 8 pm. PM will also attend the bi-centenary event of Mumbai News at Bandra Kurla Complex in the evening. Its publication is going on continuously since July 1, 1822, on the completion of 200 years, PM will also issue a postage stamp.
