PM Modi US Visit:
The first meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US Vice President Kamala Harris took place on Thursday. The issue of Pakistan's terrorism has also been raised in the meeting of Kamala Harris and PM Modi.
When the issue of terrorism was raised in the meeting, Kamala Harris herself said that Pakistan is involved in terrorism and terrorist organizations work there. Several issues were discussed between the two leaders in the White House for about an hour. Kamala Harris praised India's steps, international help, and vaccination during the Covid-19 pandemic. PM Modi also thanked America for helping India during the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also invited Kamala Harris to visit India. She has said that if she comes to India, then the whole country will be very happy.
Emphasizing strengthening strategic partnership during the meeting, Prime Minister Modi expressed confidence that bilateral relations will reach new heights under the leadership of US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed issues of mutual and global interest.
This is the first meeting between the two leaders. Earlier, Harris spoke to Modi over the phone during the Covid-19 crisis in India. Harris called India a "very important partner" of the US and also welcomed the announcement of New Delhi in which India has talked about resuming the export of the Covid-19 vaccine soon.
After meeting Kamala Harris the meeting between Biden and PM Modi will tae place today, with all eyes on it. Biden is going to host PM Modi for the first time after becoming the President.
After meeting Biden, PM Modi will also attend a meeting with Quad i.e. America, Japan, Australia at the White House. While before the Quad, PM Modi has also met Australian PM Morrison and Japan's PM.
