Draupadi Murmu has won the election as an NDA candidate. She got 5 lakh, 77 thousand, 777 votes and now she will take oath as the 15th President of the country on July 25. He is constantly receiving congratulatory messages on winning the presidential election. After the elections held on Monday 18 July, the counting of votes took place on Thursday 21 July.

Powers and responsibility of President Murmu

The Prime Minister of the country does not interfere in the judicial system, but the President of India has such power, using which he can waive the death sentence given by the court. The Prime Minister does not have such power. 

Apart from this, the President of the country also has the right to declare an emergency in the country. The Prime Minister himself cannot order it. However, under Article 74 (1) of the Constitution, it has been provided that the President will be assisted by a Cabinet and its head will be the Prime Minister. The President gives all orders only on his advice.

Salary and facilities

As the President of India, Draupadi Murmu will get a salary of about Rs 5 lakh every month. However, till the year 2017, the President used to get a salary of only Rs 1.50 lakh per month. The President also gets many other facilities, in which he also gets free medical, home and treatment facilities for life. Apart from this, the Government of India spends Rs 2.25 crore every year for the stay, staff and reception of guests of the President.

As the President of India, Draupadi Murmu will get a specially designed black Mercedes Benz S600 (W221) Pullman Guard. For this she will also get a long armored limousine for official trips. The President also has two great holiday retreats to spend the holidays. One of them is the Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad and the other is the Retreat Building in Shimla. The President of India and his spouse (spouse) can travel anywhere in the world for free.
