Councilor Shobharam Rathore of the BJP's Tajganj ward will debate the idea to rename the Taj Mahal as Tejo Mahalaya at the Municipal Corporation meeting on Wednesday. We'd like to let you know that the House has already received the name-change suggestion. Taj Mahal has frequently been cited in the news these days because of the name change. The Taj Mahal's name has periodically been suggested being changed to Tejo Mahalaya by Hindutva organizations.

Throughout the Municipal Corporation's four and a half years in power, the names of more than 80 roads and intersections have changed. Poor Azam Khan has been replaced by Ashok Singhal Marg, Mughal Road in Kamla Nagar by Maharaja Agrasen Marg, and Naubasta Square in Lohamandi by Guru Nanak Dev Chowk.
