Today, Maharashtra's opposition leaders demonstrated on the steps of the state's Vidhan Bhavan. The government, according to the opposition, has not included any financial relief for the common people. The opposition claims that the ruling party's budget announcements were limited to major announcements.

Outside of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, NCP MLAs demonstrated against the state administration by brandishing pumpkins. In protest against the Maharashtra budget that was presented in the Assembly the previous day, opposition MLAs staged a sit-in outside the Vidhan Bhavan on Friday.
