Punjab Assembly Election 2022: Project being built for Rs 124 crore became the reason for closure of business

In order to get rid of the traffic jam at the railway gate of Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana Municipal Corporation has started the Railway Over Bridge Project under Smart City. Under this project, the work of making one ROB and two RUBs here for Rs 124 crore was started about three years ago. The work of the project was to be completed and dedicated to the public in June 2021, but due to late negligence of construction companies and corporation officials, the work of this project is going on at a slow pace. 

Due to the delay in this project, many shopkeepers of Pakhowal Road have been forced to close their business while some are on the verge of closure. 

Politician Bharat Bhushan Aashu has claimed that it is his dream project but even he couldn’t get the project completed on time.
