Punjab New CM:

Since there is not much time left for the Punjab assembly elections 2022, the political parties have already tightened their backs. While the ruling Congress government has played a strong game by making a Dalit Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi.

The Congress has targetted the Dalit vote bank in Punjab, as well as has stricken a sharp reply to BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal’s Dalit CM and deputy CM matter, by making Charanjit Singh Channi, the new Punjab Chief Minister.

Charanjit Singh Channi on 20th September 2021, i.e., today has taken the oath as the 17th Cheif Minister of Punjab and the first Dalit CM of Punjab, as before this, only Jatt Sikhs used to become the CM of Punjab. It must be noted that Punjab has 32% of Dalit vote bank which includes the Sikh and Hindu Dalits of the state, while 19% of Jatt Sikh vote bank.

Political parties started ethnic polarization considering the fact that only Jatt Sikhs have ruled the land of Punjab yet, and Congress has shared a huge message this time by making a Dalit, the Chief Minister of Punjab.

Parties promised a Dalit CM:

Various political parties including Shiromani Akali Dal, BJP, and Aam Aadmi Party, while Congress has already made a strong move in this field. Charanjit Singh Channi was the first one who invited Navjot Singh Sidhu to his home in Chamkaur Sahib after he was made the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president, and Channi was also the first one to speak against Captain Amrinder Singh.

With Charanjit Singh Channi, Navjot Singh Sidhu has made his way in Punjab more clear.
