On Monday, President Vladimir Putin accused Western countries of weakening Russia and preparing to attack it at a ceremony in Moscow's Red Square on the 77th anniversary of World War II. Saying that NATO was threatening Russia's borders. On receiving this information, it was decided to take military action on 24 February.

In his 11-minute speech, Putin did not mention Ukraine even once. He didn't give any information regarding the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. But addressing the soldiers fighting in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, he said, you are fighting for the motherland. Fighting for the future of the country. No one should forget the lesson of World War II. There is no place in the world for executioners, wrongdoers and Nazis. That's why we are fighting for the end of Neo Nazism.

27 million people of the Soviet Army were killed in World War II

Putin further said that he pays his condolences to the family and friends of every soldier who died in World War II. He said, Russia has taken proper care of the children of martyrs and this work will continue in future also. Putin paid tribute to his soldiers and civilians who died in World War II by observing a minute's silence at the end of the speech. It should be noted that in the Second World War, two crore seven million people of the Soviet Army were killed.

At the Victory Day celebrations held on the 75th day of the Ukraine war, Putin did not make any specific announcement about the ongoing war. This indicates that Russian actions in Ukraine will continue for a few more weeks. Earlier, the Russian army demonstrated its state-of-the-art weapons of Nabh, Land, and Water. Russia's state-of-the-art Armata and T-90M Proriv tank were the main attractions in the parade.

Ukraine will defeat Russia too says Zelensky

On the anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country would win the ongoing war with Russia, without losing any territory. Zelensky is apparently referring to the areas in Crimea and Donbas that were taken from Ukraine by Russian forces and Russian-backed rebels in 2014. Zelensky said, "On this day in 1945, we conquered Nazism and now we are fighting for a new victory." The road is tough but we will win, no doubt about it. Russia and Ukraine were included in the Soviet Union during World War II. The Soviet Union, together with the Allies, defeated the army of Hitler, the dictator of Germany.
