Rajasthan Police arrived in Noida to arrest TV Journalist Aman Chopra, see details here

A case of religious violence was registered against News18 India anchor Aman Chopra due to which Rajasthan Police is on the lookout for the journalist. For two consecutive days, Rajasthan Police is reaching Aman Chopra's flat located at Arihant Arden Society, Greater Noida West.

Allegations against TV Journalist Aman Chopra

It is alleged that Aman had allegedly claimed in one of his shows that a centuries-old religious place in Alwar, Rajasthan was demolished to avenge the Delhi Jahangirpuri case. After this, a case was registered against Aman in Rajasthan for inciting religious violence. Three separate cases have been registered in the case.

At the same time, the people on internet media are putting photographs of non-bailable warrants outside Aman's flat. It is claimed that the TV journalist's flat has been locked since the 28th of last month.

What did TV Journalist Aman Chopra say?

Rajasthan Police, which is searching anchor Aman Chopra for his contentious statement made on a TV channel show, has also asked him who wrote the script of the show and who was its producer. On Sunday, the Rajasthan Police, who reached Greater Noida in search of News-18 India anchor Aman Chopra, is instructed from the headquarters to stay there till his arrest. 

Chopra on April 22 in the TV show 'Desh Nahi Jhukne Denge' called the action of demolition of the temple in Rajgarh in Alwar district in Rajasthan as revenge for the action taken in Jahangirpuri in Delhi.

According to Dilip Dan, station officer of Kotwali police station in Dungarpur, the team of Rajasthan Police went to his office in Noida and house in Greater Noida to arrest Chopra, but he could not be found at both the places. Police have come to his office by giving notice in which some documents have been asked for.

When asked about the information given by the Rajasthan Police about the producer and scriptwriter through the notice, experts familiar with the working of broadcast media say that the anchor alone is not responsible for the content of the show coming on a TV channel.

The producer and editor of the program are also considered responsible. The pressure of Rajasthan Police is increasing continuously in the matter. Police say that a search warrant will also be issued against Aman Chopra. A First Information Report was registered against Chopra at the Bichhiwada police station in Dungarpur which was later transferred to the Kotwali police station.
